SEK Productions and LourdesNet Team up for Project Pink

SEK AND PROJECT PINK

If they ever want to change careers, Drs. Ed Fernandez, Al Sacchetti, Jason Smith and Albert Talone of the Lourdes Health System now know they have what it takes to become male models.

Dressed in spiffy tuxedos, the doctors strutted down the runway as they escorted their wives or elegantly dressed female members of the Lourdes staff in a gala “Project Pink” fashion show Thursday night at the Crowne Plaza hotel on Route 70.

More than 350 attendees, mostly women, whistled, applauded — and even threw a few dollars — at the physicians for bravely showing their dance moves for the sold-out charity event.

The fashion show benefits the Caring Boutique at the Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County on Sunset Road in Willingboro, a one-of-a-kind shop where women battling breast and other cancers can receive free wigs, scarves and prostheses.

Project Pink expected to raise $25,000 both through ticket sales for the show and the raffle of numerous gift baskets that were donated for the occasion, said Kim Barnes, vice president of planning and development for Lourdes Health System.
